What season do you like most? After a whole frenzy growth, blooming and fruiting, there is an interlude for most species. In this final stretch, the mushrooms pop, reminding me of the smell of earth and moss, remitting to the end of the year as well.
Although I like spring for its burst of colour, autumn is one that also allows for great photographic experiences.
The sea is not always blue. In this day, it was white from the agitated foam. A perfect canvas to paint with the warm tones of the last sunbeams.

I particularly love the balance between the light of the Moon and the sky that has not completely darkened yet. Here, I captured in the margins of Alcabrichel River the mirroring of the cliff of Maceira on the calm waters with beautiful reflections of moonlight.

I am sharing my take on the passage of this little comet 49P/Wirtanen, also known as the “Ghostly Green Comet”. On December 16, 2018, Wirtanen passed 11,620,000 km from Earth (it will be the closest to Earth in 70 years).
Also visible in the photo are the Pleiades (the seven sisters), or M45, in the constellation Taurus.
The biggest challenge for a photographer is mastering the light, because it defies the laws, the techniques, and the equipment. Although most of the time you can only observe the reflected colour of objects, there are moments when you can see light itself as beams that illuminate the air.
Not all flowers bloom during spring. In this case, Autumn awakens this species, bringing violet tones to the brown ground.
I’m grateful to announce “Spring Thunderstorm”, a magnificent new entry on my portfolio and also on my Fine Art Cotton Canvas Gallery! Seize this unique opportunity to purchase a memorable landscape photograph which will extol the aesthetics of your home!
After so many years trying to capture a moment like this, I’ve finally witnessed a two hour long lightning show in a warm spring night without a single rain drop. These were the perfect conditions to create this lifetime photograph.
This thunderstorm gains dimension with my hometown, Maceira, as background, featuring the church tower and the houses all over the hills and valleys. This is a demonstration of nature’s power immortalized on a picture.
