Paulo P. Pereira (Maceira, Torres Vedras, Lisbon, Portugal, 1972). I am a freelance professional with three decades of experience in post-processing and image editing, working with industry-leading software from some of the most prestigious brands.
In the late 1990s, with Photoshop 5.0, I began my journey into digital photography, facing challenges that were significant for the time. I have contributed to specialised magazines, with publications and articles on digital editing, photomontage, and photograph restoration. Over the course of three decades, I have developed and refined my techniques, ranging from subtle retouching to advanced RAW file editing and complex photomontage.
I have a particular passion for the digital restoration of old and damaged photographs. It is an art that restores images to their place in history, preserving the dignity of the original while safeguarding irreplaceable memories.
I collaborate with demanding clients, photographers, companies, brands, as well as well-known artists.
Since my teenage years, photography has revealed in me a natural ability to capture special moments. I seek the pure essence of light, guided by intuition and introspection. I am fascinated by the possibility of capturing a fraction of time and making it timeless. I begin with a vision that leads me into a connection with nature, resulting in emotions translated into images. I carry a piece of each vision and place into my work. Photography, for me, is a state of peace of mind.
Photography has also brought me the pleasure of having a collection of my images, titled “Portuguese Coast”, featured in the Microsoft Windows Personalisation Gallery, where they can be downloaded for free.
