The Cave
Penedo do Guincho – Santa Cruz – Torres Vedras – Portugal
The sedimentary strata in the cliff cave area gives strong evidence of being part of an ancient continuity of Penedo do Guincho itself. Based on the number of layers and their alignment we can deduce that thousands of years ago there was a huge tunnel in this place, and the entry probably would not be submerged due to the average level of the sea be lower during the last glacial period.
