Serra de Montejunto
A place once full of trees, battered by flames a few years ago. However, it remains intact at some places, where there is a set of species of fauna and flora characteristic of the region.

Walking in the countryside is much more than just walking. It is to engage in communion with nature and to meet beings and species that completely ignore the Man. Because they are in their habitat, focused on their lives and tasks, too busy to pay attention to the intruder.
Really near the infrared, which is not visible to us, there’s a spectrum that equipment can register. It is the light that is not seen, but is reflected by the foliage, so intensely that, under the right conditions, provides fantastic pink or white tones.

A burst of tones in these natural planted seaside gardens. In the distance, you can see the nuances of flowers. However, as you walk you can see them closer and closer to the point where you can smell them and hear the leaves waving in the breeze. It is an immersive and healthy experience that I recommend.
The contrast of red poppies and green ears of wheat reminds us that Nature awakes for another cycle.
Where once thousands of sea creatures used to inhabit, there is a shortage today, and it is almost rare to find rocks full of life. As in almost everything, the Man has an ominous role in exploitation to extinction. One day, when it’ll be too late, we will visit a museum that will remember these beings. On the grey, bare stones there will only exist bits of rope and plastic to appreciate.
Portraying beyond the common point and shoot is capturing the essence of the people, the places and the light. If we afford to get these three magic stones, we get a completely ethereal picture which takes us to fantasy, using reality per se.

At Porto Novo beach, the distinctive rock decorated with a figure of Santa Rita contemplates the sea and the sunset.
I’m sharing with you this inspirational intense sunset. The sun spread its glory through the dense clouds, creating this end of the day show.
A paradise right here next door!
Magnificent view of the Alcabrichel river valley, with Porto Novo beach in the background and the majestic Atlantic Ocean colouring the horizon.
This is one of my favourite places at Torres Vedras!
Um paraíso mesmo aqui ao lado!

The river (Rio Alcabrichel) flooded the road, providing rare conditions which gave an amazing new perspective of the place. The silhouettes of the hills and the tree were reflected on the water along with the colours of the sunset.

“There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun.”
Pablo Picasso

Lately, the rough sea prevails for weeks turning the beach into a compact and washed sand. The white foam contrasts with the dark colour of the sand.
It’s a privilege to live nearby and witness rare conditions for a winter day.
After the sun passing the horizon, this magnificent pastel tones gain life.
Depois do sol passar a linha do horizonte, ganham vida estes magníficos tons pastel.
Here the representation of the four elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire. Fire being a distant element, yet well present on life’s evolution that the Sun has made possible.
Porto Novo islet separates Santa Rita and Porto Novo beaches. Once, the sea and the river joined together here turning this piece of cliff into a little Island. Nowadays, during the winter the river tries to claim its native place, even flooding the fields and blocking the road to transit.
The walkway takes us to a sunset of warm tones, in a stroll along Santa Rita beach. A sailboat sails by the sea to the waves and the breeze.
